Clinical Volunteer Experience

Together We Smile

Cartagena, Colombia                                                                                                          

(June – July 2023)

 As a dental volunteer with Together We Smile, I assisted in providing essential dental care, including cleanings, fillings, and extractions, to underserved communities throughout Colombia. In addition to clinical work, we organized donation drives to collect clothing, toys, and hygiene products for local families. I also helped fundraise for medical supplies and delivered basic health education to patients and parents, promoting preventive dental practices and overall wellness.

University of Georgia Miracle

Through my role in UGA Miracle’s Family Relations Committee, I serve as a “Family Pal,” building meaningful relationships with Miracle Champions and their families who receive care through Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Over three years, I have raised more than $2,500 and helped plan and execute major fundraising events to support pediatric healthcare initiatives. My involvement has strengthened my passion for serving children and families through compassionate, community-centered healthcare.

Experience UGA

As a College of Public Health volunteer for Experience UGA, I led interactive field trips for local elementary school students to introduce them to foundational public health concepts. These sessions were designed to inspire curiosity and promote early interest in higher education while highlighting the importance of health awareness and prevention in daily life.

Butterfly Dreams Farm Equine Therapy

Watkinsville, GA

(August 2024 – present)

At Butterfly Dreams Farm Equine Therapy, I serve as a lessons volunteer supporting therapeutic horseback riding sessions for children and adults with disabilities. My responsibilities include preparing horses, assisting with sessions, and ensuring a safe and encouraging environment for participants ages three to eighteen. This role has deepened my understanding of the power of adaptive therapy and inclusive care in improving confidence and physical well-being.

Religious Volunteer Experience

UGA Wesley Foundation

Athens, GA

(August 2023 – May 2025)

As a freshmen and upperclassmen small group leader with the UGA Wesley Foundation, I led weekly small groups that provided students a space to connect, find community, and strengthen their faith. This role allowed me to guide meaningful discussions and offer encouragement as students navigated both spiritual and personal growth during college.

In my position as a prayer leader, I participated in weekly meetings dedicated to prayer and support for the ministry’s students and staff. Through this experience, I cultivated a deeper sense of empathy and learned how to foster spiritual encouragement and unity within a large community of believers.

As a student discipler, I mentor fellow students one-on-one to provide emotional and spiritual guidance. This leadership position allows me to walk alongside others in their faith journeys, offering support and encouragement as they navigate college life and personal growth.                                                                                                                                 

UGA Wesley Foundation Missions

St. Ann’s, Jamaica

(March 2023 – March 2024)

I participated in two mission trips to St. Ann’s, Jamaica, first as a student volunteer and later as a student leader. Our team supported the local community by assisting with construction projects for schools and churches, fostering relationships, and serving alongside local residents. These experiences strengthened my appreciation for service and the lasting impact of faith-based outreach.

As a class leader in Athens Church’s early childhood ministry, I lead a classroom weekly for four year old children, ensuring a safe and supportive environment while teaching faith-based lessons through interactive activities. This role has allowed me to combine my love for working with children and my desire to create meaningful early faith experiences.                                                                                                       

Athens Church College Ministry

As a Home Team volunteer for the College Ministry of Athens Church, I help create a welcoming and inclusive environment for students attending College Nights services. My role focuses on hospitality and outreach to first-time guests, helping foster a sense of belonging and community among college students seeking connection and faith                      

                                                              

iServe Ministries

Through iServe Ministries, I help distribute food and essential resources to families experiencing food insecurity within the Athens community. In addition to tangible support in the form of groceries, we also provide emotional and spiritual encouragement to those we serve. This ongoing involvement has allowed me to witness firsthand the importance of compassion and consistency in community-based service.
