Pre-dental Intern and Patient Coordinator

  • Rotated between front- and back-of-office roles to support clinical treatments and administrative operations in a large general and cosmetic dental practice of three doctors and four hygienists. 
  • Assisted with operatory setup, sterilization, digital scanning, and secondary assisting during procedures ranging from veneer preparation to bone grafting and implant placement.
  • Served as the first point of contact for patients by coordinating scheduling, insurance verification, payment of balances, and managing patient questions and concerns while gaining unique insight into the crucial administrative side of dentistry, extending beyond the clinical scope.
  • Helped hire and trained a replacement employee, providing guidance on clinical and administrative responsibilities while supporting their adjustment to the dental field.
